HOW WE GOT HERE
FOUNDER - KEN ZINKAND
Meet Ken Zinkand, the founder of SwingWise, a lifelong golfer whose passion for the game spans over four decades. Throughout these years, he has played countless rounds and pursued the goal of becoming a scratch golfer.
In 2023, Ken had a pivotal realization that transformed his game: true improvement in golf requires more than just skill—it demands a strategic approach, especially when utilizing advanced course management techniques and an AI golf caddie. By embracing these strategies, he uncovered the key to consistently lower golf scores and achieving par or better. This breakthrough inspired the creation of SwingWise, designed to share powerful swing strategies that help golfers everywhere improve their performance without changing their swing.
The results? Nothing short of extraordinary. Ken's handicap dropped from 12.9 to 2.2, showcasing the effectiveness of this method. Inspired by his success, he set out to share the Golf Theory Optimal method with golfers everywhere, helping them unlock their full potential and experience the same dramatic improvement in their game.
ORIGIN STORY
In golf, once you think you've got it, but you don't. Despite my best efforts to follow golf course management strategies, I occasionally strayed from the process. I noticed a direct correlation between my scores and my adherence to these strategies.
This realization prompted me to search for a complete solution that provides real-time, personalized caddie advice, but I found nothing. Seeing this gap in the market, I created SwingWise to help golfers make smarter decisions on the course so they can lower their golf scores too.

WHAT GOLFERS SAY ABOUT SWINGWISE!
Rahul Rajendran - D1 Golfer | Virginia Tech | +5 Hdcp
Rahul helped shape the decision-making engine behind Connor, SwingWise's AI Caddie — so he knows exactly what's under the hood. His favorite part? The odds-based framework. No matter the course, he can build a complete game plan around it. When you understand how it works, you never want to play without it.
Mason Fundingsland - D1 | Augusta University | +5 Hdcp
Mason runs a heavy tournament schedule year-round. With SwingWise, he pulls up an optimized course plan in minutes — a full strategy plus exactly which clubs to have dialed in before the round. For a junior competing that often, the subscription pays for itself before the first event of the season
Ken Zinkand - Senior Golfer | ANGC 2.2 Hdcp
After applying advanced course management and decision-making principles, Ken dropped his handicap by more than 10 shots in 16 months — without changing his swing. When he caught himself drifting from the process and couldn't find a tool to keep him honest, he built SwingWise. His favorite feature is the aim point, and how it keeps him In Position from tee to green — hole after hole.
Connor Neuman - Competitive Amateur Golfer | ANGC | +1 Hdcp
Connor loves the data behind every decision SwingWise makes — no guessing, no gut feel, just odds-based strategy built into every recommendation. The yardage book feature has become a staple in his tournament prep, mapping out exactly which clubs he'll hit off the tee before he ever steps on the course
Bill Crump - Avid Golfer | 18 hdcp
Bill is an 18 handicap in the DC area. First time using SwingWise, Bill shot 85, 7 STROKES better than the 92 he shot the day before on the exact same course and from the exact same tees. Bill's favorite feature is the layup versus go for it strategy and its ability to pick intentional layup shots.
Dylan Hume - Newberry College | +1
Dylan challenged me to a match when he found out I had a YouTube channel. Dylan FAFO and I beat him 3 and 2. However, I showed him the app and he started using SwingWise. The next time we played, he was a different golfer and beat me easily! Dylan really likes how the app can make the right decision for you and reel him in from making bad decisions.
